It was Monday again. Monday signifies the end for relaxation and the begin of work & striving!
As last week I told you, my director ask for more t-shirt sketches. The t-shirt sounds so endless as I had already fed up of squeezing ideas for it! I was trying my best to look for some interesting ideas but the more I looked for, the less I gain as the result. I decided to do some research since there was nothing I can do for it. After researching, it did helps a bit for my idea sketching but it was still looked weird after that. Perhaps, my research is not deep enough to produce a good idea. Next time, I may observe the sources, and figure out the characteristics before sketching. After a while, I received a job which is superimposing images (photo montage). I was confused with the word of superimpose at first but I made to do it after my friend's explanation.
There are more and more superimposes to be done and it was very rush when I was told to submit them by lunch time. I had my friends to work together and I was panicked when my friends urged for it. But I still manage to hand in on time. After lunch, it was idea sketching again and this time I was even slower in progressing. As a result, chatting, checking mails and facebooking were the activities I did next.
Monday's night was meaningful because I did some introspection on myself. I decided to have a change on my lifestyle in order to succeed my dream. I have always want to be a great comic artist and I know it wont happen if I don't train myself from now on. So, here I started to do some comic illustration again (I drew chibis this time!). There yet some jobs for me to do which are outputting files (journey to the west, Genting) and minor changing for a banner design (Genting RSC). But those I can finish very quickly. I spend most of the time to do my illustration instead ^^ Another job was the Olympia College Education backdrop design. I was very blur with the direction of it and it came to me quite late, plus I need to attend tution class, so I leave it to next day.
The illustration had been finished since last night and I decided to post it on fb to share with others ^^ But unfortunately, I couldn't upload it. -.-''' So, I proceeded for Olympia's job instead. There were nothing much to do for it actually as I was only asked to change some photos and rearranged them, that's it (not even changing layout). "Doing what they want and not what I want" that's what I need to do. It progressed quite slow as I was not so sure what they really want. So finally I decided to juz follow what they asked in the direction list. There are always improvement to be better, so I am not gonna care too much. At the same time, there are superimposes to be done for the next day presentation. I paid more effort on it this time (find out previous problems and solve it!) and my speed has improved a since last time ^^
As what I did on last Tuesday, I had to hand in the superimposes (Mah Sing & Hijauan Showrooms) by lunch time. I manage to do these without my friend's help this time and the result was satisfied ^^ After the superimposes, back to Olympia again. but this time I realize I have a clearer image on what I need to do (probably I had gone through the list a lot of times and understood the requirement). So, I manage to finish it before the end of the day^^
