Back to Monday again and I received faxes from Olympia again. This is the third time the job was sent back for modification. I predicted it would happen but somehow I just feel bored with the system of just design following instruction! Is it the real life of a designer or is it my personal problem? So, the whole day would be correcting and correcting the design again. As usual, there are always some output job suddenly come to me but this time not output, but this time was a correction again! It was the towel panel I made last Friday. I was copying and pasting the information and I didn't realize that Microsoft Excel's information cannot be completely copied! One lesson I learn from this is always have a check on the work whenever you had done it.
Olympia's job was sent back for more modifications this time! Those pictures they had requested to put initially were asked to REMOVED! Some more, they were asking me to switch the designs' size. I was forced to followed the order unwillingly and I started talk rudely to the Olympia staff ! >.<>
Since I had sent the modified designs to Olympia the day before, I had to wait until the next order come then. Meanwhile, I was asked to discuss on the t shirt with the director and he was free to do so eventually. As I predicted, he requested for modifications on the design. He said my design wasn't graffiti enough and it doesn't attract people to wear it. He suggested some ideas but I don't see his ideas work neither. I didn't progress much on the t shirt because Olympia was back again. This time they have some minor correction on the information and change on the photo of student. I changed them and sent the visuals to them for approvement (gosh, I forgot how may times I sent the visuals). There were quite a lot of outputting jobs came in that day, such as Genting signboard, Open University Malaysia booth and Bomba booth. Another job my friend gave me was superimposing pictures, it was Mah Sing and it was the same project.
The good news of today was Olympia design was approved and ready to be sent for output! I was relieved and pleased that I had done a project on my own and it was approved finally ^^ As usual, I printed out the visuals and outputting it into CD, but then i was reminded that there is no necessity to do so because they had already approved on the electronic visuals! Another lesson I learnt again. OUM was requesting for 1 more 2 X 6 design and after done it, I was asked to help out production to remove seal of OUM stickers. I thought it was wasting my time to do such a simple job, but I was wrong when I realize the seal was not easy to be removed. I learnt 1 more knowledge again. I was asked to do layout plan and signage design for a comic shop when it was almost 6pm. Anyway, I manage to complete 90% it was quite easy.
I was excited when I was almost done with the signage design because I was allowed to proposed my favorite idea to the operator ^^ After completing the signage, I asked my friend to do the 3D rendering for me and I proceed to propose it! While proposing, I learnt how to explain my design to operator and problem solving to meet the requirement (mostly the price, material and structure issue). Mah Sing project has 1 more superimpose to do (seems like endless >.<). Before I mange to finish the design, another project come to me which is KL commercial (book publishing company UFO style booth). Meanwhile, Bomba pop up had to be rush for printing so I had to be fast oso while handling other projects (I have always done mistake when I was forced to be fast T.T). As a result, I forgot to burn link files into the output CD! (what a big mistake). I was given a feel of unlucky today because it was damn busy for me and there were mistakes I made >.<
